Unless you are a teacher, you probably have on average 10 vacation days a year. Well, doesn't that suck? One of the advantages of being unemployed is the free time! Take advantage of it, if you can. You don't have to go on an expensive vacation, read this article on making vacation last for months.

Another way to save money is to go on a volunteer vacation.

Trina Thompson graduate from New York's Monroe College in April with a bachelor of business administartion degree in information technology. She is suing Monroe college, alleging that Monroe's Office of Career Advancement did not help her find a full-time job placement. She's suing for $70,000 in reimbursement (for tuition) and $2,000 to compensate for the stress of her three-month job search.
